Present Moment quote by Buddha

The present moment is a period of time between the past and the future. We can not change the past because it’s gone. We can only create a more desirable, satisfactory, and effective future by working hard in the present moment.

Each one of us wants his future to be Beautiful and bright. A bright future requires hard work in present. But many people don’t use their present for working towards a better future. The brightness of the future depends upon how we use our present moment. Every moment of our life is indistinguishable (Absolute) we make them distinguishable by our thoughts. Our thoughts make them favorable or unfavorable for us.

  1. There is no present. As soon as you think to be in the moment, it’s already too late. The past is a memory and the future is a dream. The present is some infinite point between your memory and your dreams.

  2. Our Lives are Planned in Moments of Time.

I tell people when they say wait a second; time’s up, time’s up, time’s up; to say wait a moment and explain to them that a moment in time is of your choosing or better still and most acuretly said it’s of God’s chosing.

If you say to someone live in the present and not in the pass, even that thought is already in the pass.

I read in a book once that we plan our lives but it’s God who orchestrates it.

We don’t have all the answers but I know someone who does.

  3. Of course it seems like we’re always in the past, yet it’s with bringing our awareness to everything going on right NOW, bringing our awareness to our senses, which both opens us up and brings us into our bodies at the same time. Living with open hearts brings us into a loving mindfulness of our existence, focusing on our breathing and our heartbeats and to everything going on around us. This takes practice, dedication and commitment.

Meditation is invaluable in the process of journeying towards living in the Longer Eternal Now.

I love your article, and I love Eckhart Tolle so much. Yours are the kinds of inspirational quotes I enjoy the most. Thank you for sharing!

  4. To be in Present every moment is difficult to achieve. It takes a fraction of second to get distracted . But there is a way …practise . ……..un conditioning of mind , which has lived only in past or future.
What else can help ? ?

  5. I share my favorite one and like all the Tao infuse of truth and symplicity enjoy. “If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living in the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present.”

    ― Lao Tzu

  6. Always Now. I have found this to be the best way to think of and describe eternity. No past, no future, no time, always now. Learning to be in the now is preparing us for eternity with God. Thanks for posting the quotes! ;o)

  7. Yes we should be focused on right now, and maybe a few moments from now, and even reflect somewhat on the past-to learn from it, since we can’t always learn in the moment, it takes time and reflection. But more important than not focusing on past or present too much, but this very moment, is what we DO in it. If we do good, there is no one that will be against that. “But the fruit of the Spirit (Holy Spirit) is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

  8. Surely the problem with living in the present is that when you actually recognize the moment it has become the past. I think we should live our lives planning each coming “present moment” as a building block for the future we want to have. In this way we may relish the present moment when it comes because it is, hopefully, a successful step toward the future we desire.

  9. I have been trying to live in the present moment for the last year. I can confirm that although it sounds like the most simple thing to do – it is not so. So far only here and there I can “catch” the present moment. The rest is stream of thoughts of past or future. I am glad that there are more and more people trying to do this. It helped me to overcome some difficult moments and made cherish life more.

  10. Living in present moment or mindfulness is a big buzz word at the moment, as if people have just realised the importance of it. It is wonderful to see that we knew about already so long ago 🙂 Great quote from Budha! Thank you for the inspirational quotes 🙂
